The plan was to head to the beach after lunch but the robot needed a lot of attention. However, by 4.30pm, we were ready to take it to the school where we will be competing tomorrow in order to register the robot and check out the venue.
We registered the robot and were given some homework tasks to ensure the robot was ready for the competition the next day.
Finally we arrived at Malibu beach. It may have been dark but the girls still managed a paddle. They also saw seals swimming in the shallows.
We also managed to officially name the robot. KATT stands for Kayleigh, Amy, Tasha and Taylor and embodies the robot's qualities: intelligence, agilty and independence. We think it is a fighting name!
