Day 2 - Viewpoint high school

We started early with a 7am breakfast - the girls declined the offerings of American waffles and maple syrup for a healthy diet of fruit.

After some cheesy photo opportunities we drove to the school to spend the day as an American student.

The students were paired up with American students and spent the day in a variety of classes including Chinese, sculpture, artificial intelligence and choir.

We had lunch with the other robotics students sat out in the glorious Calafornia sunshine (very different from back home!).

The girls loved seeing what life was like for an American teenager, and the teachers enjoyed watching some lessons too (rather than teaching them for once!).

The robot has now arrived and the girls are trying out the field on which they will be competing. They're also checking out the competition and assessing their strengths and weaknesses.

Our driver, Kayleigh, is also getting in some practise.

Not your average Thursday!
